About our Founder

Elisa believed she was immune to surprises after fourteen years in airline catering. She had managed units across three countries, watched countless meals pass through quality assurance like clockwork, and authorized countless food safety audits. She understood the industry's rhythm and its shortcuts.

Everything changed during a routine audit. A meticulous auditor Elisa had known for years, discovered six expired items hidden behind fresh inventory on a bottom shelf. The facility failed, triggering corrective plans and formal apologies. Elisa listened as the general manager sincerely promised the issue would not recur and implemented corrective action plans.

When Elisa returned to the facility a week later for an informal check, habit led her back to the bottom shelf. She found twenty expired products, spanning different shelves and lines; the failure had shifted rather than disappeared.

Elisa realized the core issue: the system was designed to stage safety for audits, only to regress once inspectors left. The real breakdown was not the expired food, but the total absence of oversight when no official was looking. Compliance had become a brief performance rather than a permanent standard.

Eighteen months later, Elisa resigned to launch CaterPilots on a single premise: food safety must be a continuous, internal practice rather than a bi-annual event. And she is determined to make sure that every catering unit in the world follows her lead.

Today, CaterPilots operates globally to eliminate the gap Elisa observed. The company provides continuous, around-the-clock monitoring across its partners' international networks, actively managing food safety incidents to prevent minor lapses from turning into major failures. CaterPilots uncovers issues in every single unit they investigate.

By doing so, CaterPilots shifts the focus from the airline to the caterer, effectively safeguarding the airline brand before public trust can ever be compromised.

CaterPilots removes the invisibility of the days and months between formal audits. By maintaining constant oversight and pressure, the company ensures its airline partners carry a quiet, unyielding guarantee of safe food on every flight. Elisa never tracked the fate of that catering unit; she already knew its flaws were industry-wide. CaterPilots was built to eradicate them.
